chive blossoms cut fresh from our csa farm today...currently stinking up the kitchen, but looking good doing it...

then and now {and catching up}...april and may brought a new life to an old fence...sticks courtesy of hurricane sandy...

today...enjoying the freshly fallen snow...the kids think it's pretty cool too.

they didn't have to dream it...it just was...wishing you a christmas filled with joy (and maybe even a little snow.

usually it's the smaller, secondary tree...the one that Santa doesn't visit...but this year it's the one and only...it's vintage, it's handmade..it's star wars and larry bird...at least on the back...it's safe for small hands to explore and rearrange...it's ready and waiting for the toys to arrive.

after nine nights away from home...the power lines are (finally) back up...the thermostat is up to a balmy 66 degrees (from low of 46)...our first order of business was to build a little tower...in the only room that doesn't have a warm radiator...with the lights off...go figure.

a dark and rainy summer day...pajamas are in order...and some vintage necklaces...for just the right amount of sparkle...

when there is record breaking heat...high hunidity...and no air conditioning...you learn quickly how fun 4" of water can really be...

i love the way the light enters the dining room in the evening...
i love the curves of the table and of the chairs...
i love the way the house looks from this angle...no mess, no clutter...
i love the apple print on her shirt...
i love the way she stands on her tippy toes...i love her most of all.
